To our Whole Pet Veterinary Center family, |
We want to take the time to thank each and every one of you for your continued support throughout the COVID-19 crisis. We know that these constantly changing times can be unsettling, and we will continue to offer our support to you and your fur babies in any way that we can. We want to keep you informed as we continue to adapt to the changes surrounding the state re-opening protocol so that we can continue to provide quality care to our patients while keeping everyone safe. |
We have been welcoming pet parents back into the building (with restrictions) for the past week, which has been exciting! It has also provided some insight as to how the process is going so far. We wanted to take this opportunity to review and clarify all of the protocols that we have put in place so that everyone can stay informed. |
At this time, we will be keeping most of our appointment types as curbside visits. The following types of appointments will be a part of the first stage of re-opening:
- Sick/Urgent visits
- New puppy/kitten visits (for new or existing clients)
- End of life care
What does our version of "re-opening" mean? |
- We will be allowing limited access to one single person to accompany their pet into the building. Anyone who is to be entering the building must be over 18 years of age. For their safety, we will not be allowing children into the building at this time. If you have a young child with you, we will ask that you stay in the car with them during your pet’s appointment.
- Anyone who will be entering the building will be asked to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Call when you arrive: even if you are going to be accompanying your pet into the building, we still request that you call first. Anyone who is to be entering/exiting the building will be accompanied by one of our staff members, in an effort to avoid overcrowding in any of our waiting areas.
- Wear a mask: if you arrive without a mask, unfortunately, we will not be able to allow you to accompany your pet into the building for that visit.
- Practice social distancing: in order to maintain social distancing and protect both you and our staff members, we ask that you do not try to help hold or restrain your pet for their exam.
- Follow our sanitizing policy: hand sanitizer is provided in each exam room for our clients’ use.

What we are doing to keep you and our employees safe? |
- As always, we will be sanitizing the front desk, exam rooms, and treatment areas in between every patient that is seen.
- We will be placing social distancing floor markers spaced 6 feet apart. We ask that everyone within the building maintain the appropriate distance from each other whenever possible.
- We will have sneeze guards installed at the check-in and check-out desks.
- We will provide hand sanitizer at all stations of the practice (in each exam room, at check-in and check-out). We ask that anyone who is going to be entering the building to please use hand sanitizer (either ones we have provided, or your own).
As we continue to implement further stages of re-opening, please keep an eye out for our emails, or check in on our website and social media pages for updates in policy and procedures. As always, we are here for you and are happy to help answer any questions that you may have. Thank you for your continued support and understanding throughout this process. |
Be well, The Team at Whole Pet Veterinary Center |
