Little girl and Jack Russell Terrier, both wearing superhero capes. Honoring veterinary technicians and nurses - past, present, and future.

Dear Clients,

Your pet deserves the finest veterinary care and it takes everyone on our team to make that happen. The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) recognized that fact and created National Veterinary Technician Week

As a member of the veterinary healthcare team, veterinary nurses/technicians are educated in the latest medical advances and skilled at working alongside veterinarians to give your pets the best medical care possible. They work closely with the veterinarians, receptionists, practice managers, and pet owners to provide essential care to all species of animals; pets with fur, feathers, scales or skin.
Oct. 13-19 2019 National Veterinary Technician Week - Let's Celebrate!

National Veterinary Technician Week is an annual event recognizing veterinary nurses/technicians for their contributions in pet healthcare, as well as veterinarians, receptionists, practice managers and others involved in pet care.

Veterinary technicians/nurses help care for your pet by performing a wide range of vital functions such as phlebotomy, laboratory and other diagnostic work, anesthetic administration and monitoring, dental treatment, surgical assistance, radiology, client education, and - of course - patient nursing care. It's clear that veterinary technicians are the ultimate multi-taskers!

We're incredibly grateful for our hardworking technicians, who work tirelessly every day to care for our patients with skill and compassion.

If you happen to be visiting Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital during National Veterinary Technician Week, or even just driving by, you're very welcome to stop and thank our technicians and our entire support staff for their dedication to our patients. Our goal is to provide the best care possible, and we could not do it without them!

As always, we thank you very much for trusting us with your pet's care!
