Dear Friends, |
It is with mixed emotions that I share some big news. After almost 20 years of proud service to the pets and people of our community, I will be retiring from clinical practice on December 9th, 2023. Over the last couple of decades, I’ve had the privilege of serving you through various stages of your pet’s lives. From kittens and puppies to our most senior ladies and gentlemen, I have genuinely enjoyed sharing their lives with you. I am very thankful for the trust you’ve placed in me over the years to play a role in guiding your pets to live their healthiest lives, and I’ll always cherish the relationships I’ve had with all of you!

I have tried for many years to find a successor to keep the clinic open, but have been unsuccessful. Regretfully, this means the clinic will be permanently closed after December 9th. That said, I am incredibly excited to announce that South Mountain Vet Clinic will merge with Family VetCare! The decision to choose Family VetCare to continue the legacy of South Mountain Vet Clinic was made with the best interests of you and your pets at heart. I cherish and honor the trust you have placed in me over the years, and I am confident the caring veterinarians and staff at the three Family VetCare locations will provide you and your family with excellent service and medical care going forward. The veterinarians at Family VetCare are excited to welcome you and have been provided all your records to ensure a seamless transition for you and your pets.

Family VetCare is a local, family-owned company (not a mega-corporation) that have been trusted providers of pet care in the East Valley for over 40 years. They have locations in Chandler, Mesa, and Ahwatukee, and two of them (Chandler and Ahwatukee) are within 4 miles of South Mountain Vet Clinic! So, you won’t have to travel far to receive continued care, and you’ll also have several options to choose from. With three locations and several veterinarians at each facility, you'll appreciate the greater availability of appointment times at Family VetCare! You’ll also be getting the benefit of expanded hours – all three locations are open Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Many of you have enjoyed seeing the same vet for every visit, and this will still be possible at Family VetCare as they, too, value continuity of care from a single provider.

If you would like records sent to you, please let us know as soon as possible. If your pet has had radiographs taken, you are welcome to pick up the films prior to December 9th. Please let us know ahead of time so that we can have them ready for you. There will be a request form on our website (www.southmountain.vet) to make this request as well as any medications you may need for the transition.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family! I will miss each and every one of you, and I am grateful for the privilege of caring for your beloved pets. I wish you all the best, and leave you in the caring hands of the veterinarians at Family VetCare!
Eva Beyer, DVM
